Biography :

A little about myself - Pam Fish.
I was born in South London, and moved to Peterborough seven years ago. Three children from my first marriage and two more coming into my life 30 years ago when I married my second husband, has given me seven grandchildren. A keen writer from the age of nine, I have been concentrating fully on writing since retiring from twenty-one years as a photographer. My initial occupation as a photo-journalist has given me a sound insight into real life dramas, which I often resort to using as research for my work. Later, running my own photographic studio introduced me to people from all walks of life. This became a useful resource that I often dip into, when building characters for my writing.

I have completed six years of Creative Writing Courses at Peterborough College of Adult Education and I am an associate member of the National Association of Writing Groups, serving two years (during 2005/6/7) on their Board of Trustees.

Since self-publishing ‘The Last Resort’ I have completed two more novels and I am currently writing my fourth.

I have a ‘one-liner’ from Jean Saunders who was kind enough to read this novel in 2006, she has said that I might use this quote on the cover of my next book:-

'The Last Resort' has its share of thoughtful and dramatic scenes, in which Pam's forte is her visual, descriptive writing. Jean Saunders, aka Rachel Moore

Book Review :

The first of two reviews.
I had not come across any work by this author and was very glad I have taken the chance of reading something different for a change. This tale of two interwoven lives will evoke for many readers the experience of divorce and loss. What remains with me some months after reading this is the central characters inability to be courageous enough to choose a path that involved a very different kind of life. In a way that was both real and very poignant, she takes a detour away from what we know she really wants. The suspense comes as we hope against hope that she will follow her heart and not what is expected of her.

This to me summed up the predicament for many women and it is this that makes this book so authentic and meaningful to read. The suspense is also great fun and this was a real page turner.
Read it!!!!!! Jan from London

The second review.
In this novel, The Last Resort, author Pam Fish takes the reader through a torrent of emotion as she explores the issues of kidnapping, abuse, rape, alcoholism infidelity and most of all love. It sounds a bit heavy duty but I found this a very good read. All credit to Pam Fish. I found I couldn't put it down, eager to know what happened next. Family orientated it contained just the right amount of suspense and drama. I thoroughly recommend this novel.
